DEP Camporee 2008 a Great Success
This past weekend over 1,300 Scouts and adult volunteers participated in the first of its kind Jersey Shore Council DEP Camporee. It was a great success with fun had by all and nearly 3,000 hours of community service performed at Island Beach State Park. We truly left the park better than we found it.

Patriot's Day: Honoring our Heros
On September 11, 2008, hundreds of scouts form our area spread out across Ocean and Atlantic Counties to celebrate the importance of our Fire, Police and Emergency squads and serve as a beacon of light in the dark shadow of the tragic events of 2001. Listen as our Scout Executive speaks of his personal connection to this day, and how scouting has impacted his and many lives surrounding this historic event.
