Five Shorebirds errors contribute to comfortable victory
SALISBURY, Md. - The BlueClaws took full advantage of five Delmarva errors at Perdue Stadium on Saturday night, claiming a 6-1 win to open the final series of the 2008 season. The Shorebirds, who are statistically the worst defensive team in the South Atlantic League, gave up three unearned runs thanks to their defensive miscues. Ryan Adams set the South Atlantic League record for errors by a second baseman in the game by picking throwing away two baseballs. Adams now has 52 errors this season.
