Cisco, McConnell and Cruz combine to blank Suns
HAGERSTOWN, Md. -- Lakewood shut out Hagerstown for the second consecutive game on Thursday night, taking a 7-0 victory over the Suns behind Mike Cicso and Eryk McConnell at Municipal Stadium.
Cisco was a last minute replacement for scheduled starter Chance Chapman, who was scratched due to an injury, and the move ended up working out as well as possible for the 'Claws. Cisco (1-0) was brilliant in his five innings, giving up just three hits and no walks. He also struck out four while keeping Hagerstown off the board.

BlueClaws lose third straight, 9-5, to Charleston
Stutes takes first loss with Lakewood
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Charleston RiverDogs handed Mike Stutes his first loss in a BlueClaws uniform, as Lakewood dropped their third straight, 9-5, on Sunday evening at FirstEnergy Park.
Stutes (4-1) only gave up three runs, all in the first inning, but that was enough for Charleston to hang on the rest of the way. The BlueClaws right-hander, an 11th round draft selection in 2008, allowed just four hits and walked three. He also struck out eight, the second most in any outing in his career.
